The eNTRI visa is a type of travel document that allows certain foreign citizens to visit Malaysia. While many nationalities can enter the country without a visa for short stays, others are required to obtain an eNTRI or other type of visa beforehand. The good news is that the Malaysia eNTRI can be applied for entirely online, so you don't have to go to a Malaysian embassy to get it. What Is an eNTRI Visa for Malaysia?
The eNTRI (Electronic Travel Registration & Information) is a way for certain foreign citizens to enter Malaysia under the country's visa waiver program. To get an eNTRI, you need to register online and then print out an eNTRI Note. When you arrive in Malaysia, you'll need to show the eNTRI Note to be allowed into the country. You can use an eNTRI Note to enter Malaysia at the following points of entry:

Who is Eligible for the Malaysia eNTRI Visa?
Indian and Chinese passport holders can apply for an eNTRI visa for Malaysia. This visa was introduced in March 2017 to make it easier for tourists from these countries to visit Malaysia. If you're from a country that's not visa-exempt for Malaysia, you'll either need to get a visa from a Malaysian embassy or consulate, or apply for an eVisa online. The eVisa for Malaysia is currently available for citizens of:

FOR INDIAN CITIZENS
The eNTRI visa for Malaysia is available to all Indian citizens who have a valid Indian passport, whether they live in India or abroad. If you have an approved eNTRI, you can only enter Malaysia on direct flights from India, or via Brunei, Singapore, or Thailand. If you use an eNTRI to travel to Malaysia and then return, you can fly to any country.
FOR CHINESE CITIZENS
Chinese passport holders who live in Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macao can get the Malaysia eNTRI visa. This visa is not available for Hong Kong SAR passport holders or Macao SAR passport holders. With an eNTRI visa, you can enter and exit Malaysia from Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macao, or transit via Brunei, Singapore, or Thailand.
Difference between the eNTRI Visa and eVisa
There are currently two options for online travel documents to Malaysia: the eNTRI visa and the eVisa. The main difference between the two is that the eNTRI is only available for Chinese and Indian citizens. The eVisa, on the other hand, is available to citizens of many countries. Another difference is that the eVisa can be issued as a single or multiple-entry visa, while the eNTRI is a single-entry travel document only. Additionally, there are no restrictions on entry and exit points for Malaysia with the eVisa, whereas the eNTRI has some restrictions. Finally, travelers who use the eNTRI to visit Malaysia must observe a 3-month "cooling period" before they can submit a new eNTRI application.
eNTRI Visa Application Form
To apply for an eNTRI visa, you'll need to fill out an online application form and provide some basic personal, passport, and travel information, as well as some supporting documents. You'll also need to pay the eNTRI fee using a credit or debit card. Eligible citizens can apply from anywhere in the world, except for Malaysia, Singapore, or Israel. Keep in mind that having an approved eNTRI visa doesn't guarantee entry to Malaysia – a Malaysian immigration officer will make the final decision based on your supporting documents.
Documents Required for the eNTRI Registration
To complete an eNTRI registration, you'll need to have a valid Indian or Chinese passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity, a recent passport-sized photo of yourself, confirmed return flight tickets, and proof of accommodation in Malaysia (e.g. hotel bookings).When you arrive at a border entry point in Malaysia, you'll need to present a printed copy of your approved eNTRI note, your boarding pass and proof of return flights, proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay, and proof of accommodation in the country. You'll also need to provide a complete travel itinerary for your stay in Malaysia.

After you receive notification of a successful application, you can print your approved eNTRI note right away. Just click on the link in the notification email to review your application, and then print a copy of the eNTRI note. Remember to bring the printed copy of your eNTRI note with you when you arrive in Malaysia, and show it to a Malaysian immigration official along with your passport at border entry checkpoints.
Holders of an approved eNTRI note can stay in Malaysia for a maximum of 15 days. The eNTRI is a single-entry travel authorization that allows you to enter Malaysia once during its validity.
An approved eNTRI note for Malaysia is valid for 3 months from the date of issue and allows a single entry to Malaysia during its validity.
